Front End Web Developer

We are currently seeking a Front End Web Developer to join our development team, working on exciting and innovative projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a web development environment, working with developers and designers. This role would suit someone specifically interested in Front End design and usability, who has the vision, creativity and desire to push the boundaries of current web development trends as well as the capabilities of modern web browsers.

Details:

• Building websites from scratch, with design and visuals supplied by our graphic designers
• Maintaining and updating existing websites
• Developing interactivity and usability features
• Creating consistent and accurate representations of designs across all major web browsers

Skills:

It's important that you share our enthusiastic, proactive approach to developing relationships and understanding our clients’ business needs. You should be a keen problem solver, who has the ability to think outside of the box. You must demonstrate a real ‘can do’ attitude.

The preferred candidate would be able to demonstrate the following: 

• Essential Skills:
  • 2+ years experience in a web development environment
  • Thorough knowledge of PHP, including OO principles
  • Web Standards development HTML and CSS
  • Javascript techniques for web page interactivity, (jQuery preferred, mootools, dojo etc)
  • Building robust HTML emails
• Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with Content Management Systems
  • RDBMS experience (MySQL)
  • Source Control (SVN, Git, CVS etc)
